The Brief
Following a site replatforming project, Bert & May needed a partner to help them further improve their online customer journey and operational processes, as well as drive the ongoing management, project delivery and marketing activities to an agreed ROI.
Design & Usability
The site historically had a large drop off on product pages, we designed and developed a new page which highlighted product and lifestyle imagery, stronger promotional messaging and iconography to provide consistent visual clarity throughout a customer journey, alongside clearer and consistent call to actions. In addition, unique services including free showroom consultations were promoted across all product pages. The change to product pages resulted in 51% more additions to cart with overall checkout conversion increasing by 42%.
Increased KPIs
The development and ongoing marketing and promotional activity has been aligned to an ambitious year on year target, but with continuous development and marketing activities we have seen traffic increase by 6% and revenue increase by 119%. The increase in revenue has been significant year on year, with our targets being achieved by 121% against plan, in the first 6 months.
Stock Management
The management of stock had historically been across multiple systems, however with no master view this resulted in inaccurate, un-trusted stock levels with products and orders being managed ineffectively. Working with Dear integration we have managed to streamline stock management within Shopify, providing a single platform where all stock and sales, across both offline and online orders and stores, are accurate and in real time.
